My ties to the Denver, CO area run deep. Not only did I grow up in Denver, CO, but my parents, grandparents and great-grandparents — four generations back — were born and raised in Colorado. After graduating from John F. Kennedy High School in Denver, I headed to University of Colorado Boulder, making me the first person in my family to ever graduate from college. I supported myself through college and was student body president of the university during my senior year. Education is very important to me because I have seen first-hand the power that education has to change people’s lives.
I’m a huge fan of Denver sports teams — Go Broncos! Go Nuggets! Go Avalanche! — and I go to as many home games as humanly possible. My love of sports isn’t just professional — I spend most of my weekends cheering my kids on in various sports and activities. I head out into the Colorado outdoors whenever possible, especially for a day of fly fishing. We love to head to concerts whenever one of our favorite groups are in town — country, rock, pop — you name it, I listen to it. My family also looks forward to delivering meals to the terminally ill through Project Angel Heart in North Denver.
Being an Allstate agent has been a family affair for us. My wife worked in our offices for many years, and my oldest son currently works for me. I’m proud to tell people that I have been associated with Allstate since 1988 and especially enjoy my role as being the voice of the agents on various company boards and committees. But most of all, I am honored to be able to be a trusted Allstate advisor to customers — who end up becoming friends, as well.
